This guide is written by a beginner for beginners
When i just started the game i had a lot of questions and i found a lot of helpful guides on the site, but not a guide for all the things i want to know as beginner in one post. I play Empire online for like 4 weeks right know and i thought lets do something back for the community and in special for the beginners. If you are a pro player and things there has to be add something on this guide please tell us because together we can make Empire Online bigger and bigger.
First day's playing
- Pick a class/Leveling/qeusting
Pick a class that you think you will enjoy and start doing the quests in your town where you started and just do a lot of quest you will find on your way, in the beginning till level 35 questing is the best way to level in my opinion. One because you get a lot of xp. but you also will learn the way in the world of empire online. When you reach level 35 look on the forums how to level past level 35 there are already some good guilds for that. - Where to get new skills?
Every time you level up you get skill points the higher level you became the more skill points you get. But when you get skills higher they also will cost more skill points. In a lot of towns you will find skill masters of the different jobs you can level your skills here, but the more easy way is going to a empire and leveling your skills here. (how about to get there you will read more under "empire") It is a little bit more expensive in a empire but its way more easier. What also is a big pro of leveling in a empire when you go to a high ranked empire they have like all levels of skill masters. Because when a skill reach a specific level it needs to be leveled at a higher skill master. And the extra cost are only like 10% if you find the right empire. So that's not a big issue - What skills should i get?
If you want to know what a good build is for your class also look around on the forums there are lots of builds. But in the beginning you meanly have to focus on skills that give stats that suits with your class, skills that boost your weapon damage of your weapon. For melee classes get melee boost skills and for archers get ranged boost skills. I say always get sun spirit level 9 (Gives +260 hp every round and cost 0 mp). And get moon spirit up how much depends on the skill your using but if you boost that 2 skills you wont have to use hp/mp pots after every fight. Will save you a lot of money and a lot of time after every fight. (Don't forget to activate them go to Inventory, go to skill tab, and mark them under automatic skills. - What to sell/keep/drop
In the beginning it can be hard to get some money sometimes, but here are some tips. Sell every piece of amour in a shop doesn't matter what shop. Only keep your mission items if you are doing the mission at that moment. but don't sell the woods, iron and rubbles in the shops. Keep them in your inventory or put them in your store. When you have some of them like 10+ or more go to a town (easy way is pressing the text cloud in the left corner, click on the god dog message and press enter. Then move to the right until you see a lot of people standing around one man) This man is called trading post. Press enter trading post and then click enter trading post and then go to the tab supply. Press on one of your irons/woods/rubbles and hit the button search for the others. U will see a lot of people buying that iron/wood/rubble you sell. Search for the highest price and sell all to them this will give you a lot more money than selling them into a regular store. - Towns/repair items
As you probibly have seen already there are a lot of towns and a lot of maps, in almost every town there is standing some one where you can hit the button "I want to set revive point" If you are entering a town and think that you can do some quest around there find the NPC where you can press "I want to set revive point" when you die you will revive in that city again and you don't have to walk all the way again. Also if you completed a quest or in a other town and want to get back you can easy go back by pressing the blue M in the right corner and then press home town. In almost every town there are also some shops like potion shop, weapon shop and amour shop. When you have a fight your amour will lose 2 durability, when that reach 0 your amour will be pointless for that moment. You can do 2 things where new amour or repair it, you can repair your amour at most weapon and amour stores for a small price. - Empire
Earlier in this guild i already told a little bit about empires, now i will tell you the rest. When you are low level like 20- its hard to find a empire and also not that necessarily. But when you are level 20+ it can be really easy, if you can find a good empire most of the time there are people who can help you with your daily's and some hard quest (more about daily later) Also it is an easy way to make some new friends in game and have some more fun. In a empire there are a lot of buildings but more about this later. When you are not in a empire you are still able to visit most empires and have some benefits of them. (even if you are in a empire you can visit other empire's) How to visit a empire. Press the social button in the right corner, Then press on a empire and you will see some information about the empire. The important things for you at the moment are, Entrance fee and tax if you want to boost your skills look for a empire with low entrance fee and low tax. Then it will cost you the less money, most time i go to the second ranked empire they have zero entrance fee and 11% tax and high skill master buildings of every class. - Daily's
What are daily's, it are quest that you can do once every day and give pretty good xp and some rewards like level 25 and level 30 chest. This chest you can open and can give rare items. On http://www.empirejunkies.com/ you can find a lot of information about it like where they are and how they go. So i would say took a look over there (Also a great helpful site at all) - PvP
PVP is a real fun part of the game, it will give you a impression if you are stronger than your friends or enemy's. There are to kinds of pvp fights, "friendly fights" and "Forced PVP". A friendly PVP is when you ask a other player friendly if he wants to PVP with you, when he say yeeh lets do it and you are both ready one of you presses Pvp in the others profile and a request wil come up accept it and have a nice fight just like a normal fight against mobs, but than against a real player. Forced PVP is when you press PVP in someones profile without asking if he want's to PVP. This can only in area's where there are other mobs around and if your both have levels close to each other. But you won't get popular on this way and because empire online is a small community you have the risk that a lot of people going to hate you and won't help you with your daily's. Or that they will sent stronger people to you to force PVP you. So i would suggest only do friendly PVP'S - Pets
As you may have seen already allot of players have a pet walking behind them. What are they? Are they useful? How do i get them? Pets are there to help you in fights but are hard to level up because they cant level up by they quest you do and they are really hard to keep up the same level as you are. In my opinion they are not that useful until level 55, because they will die a lot of time you have to feed them almost after every fight. And the damage they do on low levels aren't that high so i will suggest just leave them for the beginning and get to them when you are like level 50+ - Gold/Silver/Copper
There are 3 kinds of money in Empire online, first you have Copper and that will also be your main kind of money you will use in the beginning. When you sell something to a npc you will always get copper, when you kill a mob you always get copper, when you buy normal amour/items you pay with copper. Copper is pretty easy to collect especially when you get at a higher level. When you get higher level and want better amours then silver and gold come around the corner. I don't know for sure how it works on IOS devices but i think it will be pretty much the same as on android. On android you can only buy silver with real money. And the app to get free gold (tapjoy) isn't working at the moment. So gold you have to buy from other players with copper or items you hunt around (I think you can still buy gold on IOS devices not sure) Gold can u use to trade with just the same way like copper. You can transfer gold into silver, but silver can't be trade and can only stay on your account. Now you my think why i need silver? Some quest request silver, but most important of all when you wan't to level your skills above level 10 you have to pay with silver. This starts at 180 silver and when at level 20 its someting like 480 silver.
