My son started to take this medicine when he was 7, while it worked for while after about one year he started becoming moody and saying that he hated himself and others and wanted to die. He lost 29 pounds in a year and for a 9 year old boy thats alot!! he had to have his gull bladder removed also at 9 and would not eat on his 10th birthday he weighed 52 pounds. I am satisfied with the pain relief but not the weight gain, which now I have read many statements I see it's an issue with the Angeliq and not just me feeling better having more energy therefore needing to eat more often (darn it) I need to be aware of it and curb it off. This is the only drug that has helped me with the pain and discomfort of IBS. I was first precrisbed bellatal which made me feel awful, but i have not had any issues with this drug.
