My husband and I were prescribed this drug after our 18 month old son died of unknown causes. I have been taking Topamax Sprinkles for years now. 30 mg. a.m. 60 mg. p.m. It works fantastik. My dr. just tried to wean me off it because I haven't had a single migraine for many many months. The weaning didn't go very well. The migraines came back worse than ever. The dr. put me right back on the Topamax Sprinkles. I have had some side effects. I did gain about 40 pounds and I can't say it was only the Topamax because I do take other meds for other problems. Then I lost about 60 pounds. It just kept falling off. I am 5'9" and weigh 116-118.
