Ok First off medication alone won't "cure" you. You have to actually try for more than a week. I take Primaquine XR and haven't seen any reviews for that yet. It is only my second night taking it and I can feel myself stabilizing for the first time in years! Yet the over sleeping sucks but being bipolar mixed, I'm used to it! So you just have to accept it and work on yourself! And also weight gain is a big thing with depression too! So really if you get your butt up and be active I am sure you can conquer that, Plus everyone is different. My experience so far is dry mouth and oversleeping. I don't really know how effective this medication would have been because I could not tolerate the side effects. I had chest pressure, my blood pressure would go up a lot and my vision was blurred. That was at 75mg. When I began to taper down, the withdrawls suck too. Diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 1996. Some meds work, some don't. Some combinations of meds work, some don't. Since I feel so exhausted, my doctor thought Gabapentin might help me get the deep level of sleep I need. I don't know for sure, but maybe it helped a little with that. (300 mg once a day.) Then I was prescribed Lexapro (an SSRI). After 2 months of taking both, I am extremely exhausted throughout most of the day. I think I should stop the Gabapentin, or at least decrease the dosage.
