I have been taking 10mg daily for 10 years in addition to Enbrel to combat RA. Over time I have noticed water weight gain in my stomach, legs, and face along with thinning bones and extreme muscle loss. I look overweight with skinny arms and a puffy face and I bruise very easily. In the beginning (10 years ago) it made me feel great but that was short lived. If I could get off this crap I would but I have been told I have been on it too long to stop. If you can avoid this drug, do so. I originally was taking Lyrica and Ultram ER for severe back issues (two herniated discs and nerve damage). I stopped taking the Lyrica-though extremely effective due to extreme weight gain, and was forced to stop taking Ultram due to insurance issues. I also take Topamax as a maintainence drug for severere migraines. Norvasc has caused me to suffer chronic severe migraines and headaches, enough so, that I was unable to continue with the medication. I am not even sure it is safe to mix both together. It does warn against certain migraine meds together, but I believe it should be very specific when it can be potentially life threatening. It also states non-habit forming, but the reviews I am reading show otherwise if you experience withdrawls, and withdrawls, when you have to go through them people should be a BIG RED FLAG that a medication is indeed addictive and can be hell if you need to withdrawl from it.
