I have been on Inderal for over 2 years after having a terrible time on Toprol. Inderal was a dream for 2 years and was very effective. I have daily headaches starting at a 3 on the pain scale and bild to a 6 every day execpt once or twicce weekly when it goes to 9 or 10 on the migrain scale. I started on this drug and believe me it is a drug. My headache continued then seamed to drop to a 1 or 2 when I get up in the morning and fewer 9 and 10s, but the confution that came with this drug made my life unbareable. I could not be trusted to go to the store 2 blocks away as I would simply get lost never get there and had no idea where I was. Nothing seamed familior to me. I would miss apointments or end up in a city 100 miles away with no recalection how or when I got there. There where times when I could not remember how to use a gas pump and I am well over 40. I took this drug for 16 months befor my wife looked here and made the conection. After quiting Inderal cold turky I gradualy started getting my comon sence back. But dont be fooled It has ben two years now and my abilty to do the things I have awalies enjoyed has ben hampered and my thinking about how to do things is noticeably deminished. Been on this medication for 2 weeks. was told to take twice a day, but only take once at bedtime and I like that im finally within the 120's and 30's over 80's and 90's, but the side affects: tired/drained, blurred vision, lower back pain, constipation, unsteady when walking, hurts to rise from laying/sitting, headaches and dry mouth, is not good. I also take a beta blocker, calicum blocker/inhibitor and a water pill. i was given this med for my panic disorder. i was told it would not be effective until about 2 weeks. i felt a calmer effect before the 2 week time frame. after a while, though, i felt a less effect fromt he medication. the only thing that would have made me happier with this medication is to have had to same initial affect i had throughout the entire time i took it. eventually, the affect was not worth the time or expense of taking and i quit taking it. by RALEIGH from Bude, MS
