i got this medication when i went to the e.r. for an infection on my face. i have eczema and i get "flare ups" & it goes away normally over some weeks. this time it didn't. the area on my face got really infected & the e.r. doctor put me on 10 days antibiotics. unfortuanally, 10 days later the infection has not gone away so i'm on my 2nd dosage antibiotics (avelox)... the first meds worked great. no side affects at all....NOTHING. i believe if i would been given 15 0r 20 days with Duloxetine the infection would been gone... by KIRBY from Revere, MN

It has facilitated in alleviating my Lupus symptoms but I gained an excessive amount of weight within 2 months. (almost 30 lbs.) Honestly, I rather be a little heavier than go through the symptoms of Lupus. I thnik it is worth it. I have never experienced side effects as severe as I have with effexor. I hate it. In less than a month the doctor increased my dosage from 37.5mg to 150mg while still on 150mg of Zoloft. I became severely constipated, vomiting all of the time, slept for 15 hours straight and I felt dead. I had severel panic attacks ( which have not occured so close together in years).
