I've been taking synthroid for 5 yrs.My first piece of advice, is you need to see an ENDOCRINOLOGIST no offense but regualar doctors don't know how to treat thyroid problem. I started taking 25mcgs 5 yrs ago, I am now at 200 mcgs and I finally feel like I'm back to normal. You need to get your dosage increased wait 8 wks have your blood drawn check your thyroid levels and increase the dosage. continue this until you feel your symptoms disappearing. I recently started using Diflucan and I like it. This is my first medication related to my bipolar disorder though. It does make me sleep more and I am way more clumsy than usual, but other than that it works wonderfully. I now notice when I start to over react and/or start to snap at people and can work my way through it without being stubborn (most of the time). Right upper abdominal and right flank severe skin pain even with light touch after herpes zoster lesion on lower back, right of midline. Didn't know what it was. Thought was liver disease, even tho nondrinker. I was prescribed for resless leg syndrome. It has short-term and limited effectiveness. With increased doses, I started having discomfort in legs and what seemed like poor circulation in feet which the doctor didn't really address, in fact he increased the dose again.
