I have read alot of comments. I asked my doctor for help with my weight gain. He prescribed Phen 37.5 mg. I start tomorrow. The pharmacist said there is potential for drug interaction with Prozac. I take it for depression. I also take amlidopine for blood pressure. I'm afraid to try it but hate being overweight. I have kids and pushing. I tend to be anxious person anyway. I was started on this medication, because I was having severe mood swings. I started out slowly (50mg) with a goal to get to 400mg. Well, everytime I increased my side effects would get worse and worse: nausea, headache, anxiety, crying spells, etc (most only lasted 4-5 days, so I just stuck through it). When I got to 250mg I missed my period, was getting stomach cramping, trouble urinating, and started vomiting, the side effects were unbearable, I couldnt function at all, and the crying spells were everyday multiple times a day (never went away). So I told my doctor Ive had enough & I wanted to be taken off of it. He agreed & every 4 days I dropped 50mg, the withdrawals were hard, severe panic attacks & nausea, but I was just happy to be getting off this med. After my last pill it took 5-10 days to completely leave my system, & I couldnt be happier. I am doing much better without this medication. I have slight mood swings but Im just going to deal with it. My severe mood swings might have been caused by my anxiety, living situation, working, or maybe from another med. I refuse to go on any more mood stabilizers, because most require blood tests. Overall, Im doing much better without it, and Im so glad that Im off of it, just wasnt worth it--and apparently I didnt need it anyhow. Im not Bi-Polar or anything, just have a panic disorder. I have had migraines in various degrees since I was a teen. There were long perions here I would have 1 or 2 a year. Took a bad fall(face plant) and severely injured my spine. It was 7 months before being prescribed Stendra 500mg, (after trying many other options) a week into the medication I suddenly realized my near daily ritual of lying in bed with pillow over my head was no longer necessary. I realize 2 weeks into this medication is too early to know for sure of its effectiveness, but for me a week without a migraine puts this drug in my miracle catagory.
