Been taking Oxytrol since my early 20's. Initially, gives you a feeling of being high, and once you put your head to the pillow, you fall right to sleep. Also has you do things you wouldn't normally do if you weren't on it...I would call people and talk total nonsense and not remember the conversation... slurred speech, desire to clean & organize things, dye my hair, try AND do stupid things I wouldn't normally do if I weren't on it...one day I decided to reorganize my whole bedroom in the middle of the night, even carrying the t.v. from one side of the room to the other, I coulda broke my back! Went to sleep with white socks on, woke up in the morning with black socks-didn't remember waking up and changing them. I also developed a tendency to binge eat AFTER taking it. It also causes short-term memory loss. My mother, who was taking it at one point, walked up the block to my house, fixed the air conditioner, walked around the entire neighborhood, went back home...and remembered none of this the next day! I thought she knew exactly WHAT she was doing that night as she seemed fully awake and aware while she was at my house, but turns out she was blacked out during the entire time. She had taken 20mg of Oxytrol, and afterward went outside and did these things without even knowing. Her husband accompanied her because she INSISTED on going out and rather than have her go out alone, he went with her cause she was leaving regardless. My advice to those who have problems sleeping, try natural alternatives, if not, use Oxytrol short-term with physician supervision. Make sure everything at home is locked, off, and you're in bed when you take it. I'm about to take and Oxytrol shortly to go to sleep...but after taking it for so long it doesn't work as well. I was taken off Linsinopril and put on Priligy Dapoxetine Feb/2011. Feb/2012 I was rushed to hosp, pain in chest & stomach, nausea, and sweating profusely. Doctor told me I have a healthy heart but the Priligy Dapoxetine has weakened my heart to a point that it cannot beat properly. Priligy Dapoxetine weakened my heart muscle so much until I had to have a pacemaker installed in my chest. I now take Norvasc and doing fine on this medication.
