I have neuropathy and depression I have been taking cymbalta(60mg)for 10 months,in addition I also take lyrica(100mg 3x a day) and abilify(5mg).Fosamax along with lyrica does help with my pain,but not my depression.There are many of the same side affects from both these drugs so you don't really know which one is causing the side affects.(blurred vision,forgetfulness,sleepiness,extreme sweating,ringing in the ears,ect.You have to weigh the pros and the cons of these drugs,for some they might work,others not. You have to keep trying different drugs until you find the one that works for you.If not then you have to just deal with the pain.That's life!! by BARRY from Shullsburg, WI
This medication worked for me very effectively and it was easy for me to use. I was on both wellbutrin and Fosamax to stop smoking and was to stay on wellbutrin only a few months. It ended up I switched doctors and I stayed on both a while then stopped the Fosamax because the wellb. gave me more energy. I didn't realize over time that I'd become less able to think clearly or calmly. I was shaking, trembling at times. Bursts of anger and panic attacks, mad at the world and going over and over bad things that happened and really everything got to me. I just last week returned to using the Fosamax. Starting on 10 mg and this doctor said to go to 20 mgs. At first I was dizzy and sort of sleepy, but I also was calmer and got things done. I was having trouble leaving the house. Now I get ready and go! I can concentrate better and I'm getting so much more accomplished. I sleep better and feel like I'm in a good mood, actually a little perky and much more outgoing. I was on lexapro for about a year before the wellbutrin was introduced and it really helped in quitting smoking, but I now see I should have stopped the wellbutrin and stayed on my Fosamax. It's expensive on my RX plan $50 a month but I feel convinced it is well worth it. If anyone know when the generic will come out, let me know!!!!! Thank you for listening! by SON from Bouse, AZ
