Hello; I was on Paxil for 25 years and called my pharmacist when I was perscribed 37.5 Phentermine to ask if it was ok to take with my other meds. Thankfully I called, because it is unsafe to take together. So I weaned off of the Paxil very quickly over a weeks time so I could get started. I started taking the Phentermine 37.5 a 1/2 tab in the morning, then was told a week later at the doctors to start a full tab. I was having issues when I started the Phentermine and still have the side affects of feeling whoozy, my head feels dizzy,my lips feel tingly, and I feel like I am tippsy when walking, after I eat I feel nuasious and have hot flashes with sweating. I get the head aches too. I started the med. Aug.22 and this week I have decided to lower the dose back down to a 1/2 again until the side affects get better or go away. Does anyone else experience these problems and how long did they last? I am concerned whether the side affects go away or not. I guess I haven't been on it long enough yet to loose allot of weight, but I haven't seen anyone say how bad these side affects make you feel. I am afraid to drive sometimes. I feel like a zombie most of the time. If this is normal fine I will stick it out, but if this is not normal then I need to know. I would apprecaite any help possible. It really did take away the nerve pain that I had been having all summer in the back of my legs. Before I started on this drug it felt as if I had rubbed capsaicin on my legs everyday. I didn't realize I was already suffereing from neuropathy after only being diagnosed with T1 Diabetes 3 years ago. Started on 60 Mg daily then increased to 90. I do think it helps with anxiety. BIG MISTAKE! Got back on after realizing what I had done in error. I just started Lyrica for Fibro (50 mg daily 1 hr before bedtime). Not sure if it's helping with pain and I'm not sleeping too well, although I feel sleepy all the time now. Really feel like I need something else for pain relief in back and shoulders. Would love to sleep through the night without any other sleep aids. By the way, I also have CRAZY vivid dreams on Standard ED Pack.
