I had tried taking Topomax 2 different times and both times I had scary side effects. It was prescribed to me for nerve pain and migraine prevention. I only took it maybe for 1.5 wks. but I got severe panic attacks and was crying all the time. I also had suicidal thoughts and thought of my mother dying, too! (I have a history of panic disorder and depression). I noticed I get all these side effects when I take anti-seizure meds (i.e. Lyrica, Neurontin/Gabapentin, Topomax). It's a shame cause they were helping my nerve pain. The other bad thing about Lopressor was bad nausea and lack of appetite; NOTHING sounded appealing to eat! My 12 y/o son took concerta 2 yrs ago with side effects of loss of appitite no sleeping and no growth for 1.5 years. We have been struggling for 2 years with trying natural Meds.
