I was just switched over from Ambien to this medication. I'm really nervous about starting a new med and not knowing what it will do. I know I need to get off the ambien because i've built up such a tolerance to it and i have to continually take more to sleep. I am taking 10mg of this medication which is prescribe for body aches/fibromylgia. The pain is somewhat controlled when I take it I do find that I am getting a good 5 to 6 hours of sleep now vs 2 good hours of sleep before however recently I noticed when I take the medication my legs feel get extremly warm almost feverish where as the rest of my body tempature is normal I have actually taken the temperature on my legs which reads 102 and my forehead read 98 degress. I also find myself craving lots and lots of sweets and being a pretty athletic person who rarely ate any sweets this is concerning to me. My vision has gotten worse and its worrysome to me trying to do homework with my 9 year old is a little frustrating. I am consulting my dr. on Monday. by KENETH from Chesterfield, MO
Have had migraines for 40 years. First tried elavil 25 yrs ago when my kids were little and could NOT stay awake. My current Dr. wanted me to get off Rx pain meds so started me on 10mg. I truely did NOT believe it would work, but it has! I'm up to 30mg. at 8:00pm and sleep well. I have a HARD time waking up in the morning, and still have some daily headaches which acetaminophen usually takes care of. However, for the last few months I have been experiencing increasing bouts of anxiety, depression, irritability and longer daily headaches. The depression scares me for it feels overwhelming and uncontrollable. Yes, I have had some stress in my life recently with work and family problems, but I don't remember feeling so "crazy" except with PMS. (hysterectomy took care of all that 15 years ago)I'm seeing my Dr. soon to reevaluate things. I can't live with this depression! I had multiple PE's after a rough winter of coughing and pain in my lungs. I could not take deep breaths and was given steroids and antibiotics on 2 different trips to Dr. because I wasn't getting better. I also noticed the weight gain others spoke about. Watch what you eat and get active ASAP when your doctor clears you. My metabolism has changed. No idea how I got the clots, every test is normal. I ran 30 miles per week before clots and I am now up to 25. I am trying to stay more active to combat these dumb pills. I see my doctor the end of May and I am begging to get off these things.
