I took this for only 2 days - day 3 I had a major panic attack. I am having palpitations, racing thoughts, horrible GI problems, I fainted, cold sweats, and an inability (and fear) of sleep. This med. has saved my life. I m on 200 mg at night with 3 mg of Xanax. My Dr.s tried everything and I suffered for 3 yrs until they put me on Anafranil. It started to work for me in 2 days. But, I was only on 50mg and now Im up to 200mg. It truely saved my life. I was to the point that I was going to kill myself. I would go days without sleeping and wouldn't answer the phone, go to work. I just increased my Xanax last night and Im going to reduce my Anafranil down to 100 mg tonight. I need to reduce the amount of meds I take at night because it takes me over 2 hours in the morning just to get out of the fog Im in. I don't know if its addictive like the Xanax. I hope its not. I had a severe allergic reaction to this drug. I broke out in severe rash on my face, neck, chest, and back. I also lost my hearing for many days. I am allergic to Penicillian so my doctor prescribed this instead. I found out that my boyfriend is also allergic to Penicillian and also this medication as well. I was prescribed Atomoxetine to take with a potent antibiotic which has a common side effect of upset stomach and nausea. I am the poster child for stomach side effects caused by medication. First time I took both and immediately starting feeling nausea. This continued for 2 days so I consulted with WebMD and learned from other reviews that Atomoxetine was causing nausea.
