I have been on this med for about 5yrs now for bulging disc in neck and two bulging disc in back. If it weren't for the med I wouldn't be able to get out of bed. It helps with the back pain but not the neck pain nor the leg pain I get I am a young female and doctors seem to not to like to prescribe me it because of my age. All I want to do is be able to work and stay active. I love sports and love to play them but I can't so due to that mental illness now play a factor in my life. I have been on effexor xr for 5 yrs. I started with 37.5mg and then 75mg and have been taken 150mgs for about a year. I am trying to get of effexor and it has terrible withdrawal symptoms.
