I take 40mg each morning. I had no nausea and after a week or so at this dose my symptoms improved dramitically. No more panic, crying or feeling terribly sad. My sleep pattern improved too. I take this for cyclothemia/atypical depression. It has mellowed me out somewhat, but I am still having some mood swings. I still get brief episodes of depression or anger but I am currently working with my doctor to find the appropriate dosage. I'm still using the 2 sample packs given to me and am up to the big pill twice daily. So far I haven't noticed any improvement and there have been days when I feel worse,tho some increase in energy. However, I have noticed rapid heartbeat or at least it feels like that. I have reduced my Cymbalta to 60mg. once a day (I had been taking 2 a day) and also still need Lortab 2 or 3 times a day. I take 2 meds for blood pressure and a very small dose of xanax in the eve which helps me sleep. I was taking Ambein but feeling too fuzzy in the morning. I was prescribed this drug in Italy for a bacterial infection and took it for 5 days, not realizing I had a severe allergy to other antibiotics in this same family. Side effects were terrible: extreme dizziness, confusion, hallucination, depression, anxiety, headaches, neck pain...unfortunately, the doctors I saw didn't understand the allergy and I had to return to the US to see my doctors. Nothing they could do for me at that point (unfortunately, I finished the entire round before I realized the allergy), just hoping that nothing is permanent. I'm a teacher and had to leave my job because I wasn't able to leave my house for 3 weeks. It's been over a month now and I'm still feeling the effects. My US doctor said this is a great drug, but for the people who are allergic, it's deadly.
