Never having been on meds, tried this for repeated anxiety. Took 30 mg for 1 week, then upped to 60 mg for 4 more weeks..Although I was VERY pleased with the impact on my anxiety, the side effects were unbearable. My doctor says experiencing these side effects to the extent I did are RARE. Constant involuntary shaking turned to tremors in my hands & legs; noticeable muscle weakness; but, the worst was the muscles twitching. They were so extreme they would jerk me awake from sleeping at night. Sleep loss increased as I continued to take it. Oh yea, blurred vision also. Doctor has now just switched to 10 mg Lexapro. I was put on 20mg of Oxytrol for depression and anxiety. For the first week, give or take, I had very minor nausea, but it went away. I also noticed myself yawning a lot, and gradually I became more and more tired, which likely was made worse by the trouble sleeping I had. I also noticed some sexual side effects. After about a month, I really noticed positive changes in my mood, but the tiredness continued. If it wasn't for that, I would be very happy with this drug.
