Hello like many others that have taken this drug I HATE it!!!! I began effexor to treat migraines. I suffered from many of the common side effects moodiness, constipation, inability to become sexually aroused, dehydration, and weight gain. The worst part about the drug is that it is next to impossible to get off of. But I DID IT!!! You need to start by weening yourself down to the lowest dose (37.5mg). Once there take the capsule pills only. Open the capsule and each day take out 5 of the small round balls. If you feel so sick from the removal stay at that level until you feel ok. Example remove 10 for three days instead of moving on to 15 if you are feeling sick. Keep doing this until you get down to 0. It took over three months but I am finally off this dreaded medication after 3 years. It is not easy but just after a month of not being on it i feel amazing and my sex life has already changed and i am having more frequent bowel movements. This is the ONLY way to get off it. Trust me i have tried cold turkey and the skipping tablets it does NOT work. Good luck and please get off of this medication and on to something else ASAP.
