Accutane has been great for me. I have been on the medication for 2 months now. Only side effects are a bit of an upset stomach now and then and my mouth and lips have been itchy and sometimes swollen. I take 15mg a day. I love Accutane but may take a week off and take Ibuprofin and see if the side effects go away. If so then I will use Accutane not as often. I took a very low dosage for panic/depression, but had to quit because of the side effects. This medication left me feeling very over stimulated. I actually went to the emergency room, knowing full well that I was having a panic attack but unable to make it stop. The ER doc said that I had a reaction to the medication that made me hypersensitive. I know a lot of people on it and it works wonders for them, it just didn't suite me. I have taken this medication for more than 5 years. I have had 3 lower back surgeries and have been diagnosed with "Failed Back Syndrome" and am in more pain now than before the surgeries.
