I was diagnosed with Sinusitis/Bronchitis. I took 2 doses(1 daily) of Accutane and began breaking out on my face. By the end of the 2nd day taking this medication I broke out in severe hives all over my face and neck into my hairline. I then broke out at the bends of my arms and on my inner thighs. I immediately called my Dr. at home on a Saturday, who reqested I stop taking the medication ...and i did. The Dr.suggested Benadryl to eleviate discomfort from the hives, which had NO effect! On Monday morning I went back to the Drs office, and was put on a form of Prednisone, and Bactrin. The Dr said I should begin to feel some relief and to coninue the Benadryl. It's Tuesday...and there is NO relief in site. I look like a Burn patient! My face is so swollen one eye is almost completely shut. I have blisters on my nose, in my ears, and at the corners of my mouth. This is so painful, I can't touch it! I itch so bad I cannot stand myself! I can't sleep, or find any relief. I gained weight before I went on this med, but I must say that I don't cry while I am at work anymore! I have sexual side effects, but not the bad kind :) Works great.
