After a yr. on this 5/500 I got scared because I wanted more and it wasn't working as well. I went to a pain mgmt. doctor who gave me steroid shots, caudal epidurals, in my lower back. I was able to get off this drug. It depressed me, made me anxious. Get pain management doctor to give you shots, they put you out in the office and it was an answer to my prayers. I have battled severe depression and anxiety for the last 2 decades of life. After a bitter divorce and major move...things were beyond awful. My doc switched me to a hight dose of Effexor. By the time I got up to full dose, I had a major adverse reaction (we are talking feeling lower than low, constant panic attacks, staying in bed, uncontrollable weeping). My doc tapered off Effexor and gradually added Zovirax (Brand). Although the transition was difficult..it was very much worth it. I experienced loose stools while increasing Zovirax (Brand)'s dosage. Once I hit 40 (been there for past 2 weeks) I am feeling more like myself! Being a functional human being is a blessing. My only caveat is my continuing problem with insomnia, however that issue is finally being treated. Thank goodness for Zovirax (Brand). Low side effects and I still have a sex drive! I could not move on Alesse. I was unable to wake enough to work or function. I didn't sleep at night because of my night terrors,which the medicen did not help. The Psyciatirc doctor who prescribed it to me was getting kick backs from the pharmacutical company and is no longer working for mental health office. I do not recommend this juke to anyone, I not only had to dial with my psyciatic disorder but I all so had to deal with the horrable side effects.
