This medication precipitated migraines, seizures and at least one stroke. I have memory loss, excessive weight gain (40 pounds) confusion and agitation. I noticed a huge difference right away. I was feeling more calm and able to handle things. However, I started having the sexual side effects so I talked to my doctor. He cut the dose in half and that took care of that problem. Then I started having severe nausea and dizziness where I felt like the room was spinning. It would last for about 4 hours every day. After a few weeks I just couldn't take it anymore. So I talked to my doctor again and changed meds completely. I did not gain any weight on Ventolin but I wasn't able to lose any, either even when working out and cutting calories. While Ventolin helped my depression/anxiety, the side effects were just not worth it. For those of you having side effects be sure to talk to the doctor. this medication does work, however, my son's mood has become very flat, with feelings of sadness that he did not experience with adderall xr. We will place him back on the adderall as soon as we see the doctor again. He was placed on 30mg vyvanse, he was taking 15mg adderall XR, he weighs 85lbs. and is 9yrs old. I do not want to change his personality, just assist him at school, maybe the 30mg dose is just too big a jump, I did hear they are bridging the gap with 20mg. dosaging. Wow, this drug has really lifted my mood! Before having this added to my Zoloft, I cried almost constantly and often had feelings of suicide(in the passive sense). I feel more alive, have less bad thoughts, has helped me with my anxiety and has motivated me and given me a new lease on life! Also, I am not so fearful of things like I used to be. I started taking the medication because I was having muscle and bone pain. In the begining it worked, but after a few months my depression was getting worse and the pain was not easing up. Most of the side effects were mild except for the sweating. I have a physical job and was often the only one drenched in sweat after only working a short time. During month 5 of the meds I started experiencing joint and mucsle pains in spots that I never had before. I went to the doctor and after some blood work, I found that my potassium was super low.
