The first week on this drug made me VERY ANGRY at everyone. It went away after a couple of weeks, then my doctor switched my dose from 150mg-1x day to 150mg 2x day... I couldn't handle taking 300mg a day. I had SEVERE RACING THOUGHTS ! and STAYED ANGRY! Consequently, I went back to 150mg 1x per day. My doctor has also put me on another drug to help control my moods.. The one benfit of this drug it decreases your appetite! Started treatment 1/20/09....one pill a day before breakfast...using reduced calorie diet and watching sodicum and sugar. I went to one of those caloric calculators onlne to calculate my calories. I havent exercised lk i should be but planniing to start soon. So far I have lost 15 lbs in one month! down 4 pants sizes! Side effects are the downside: I couldnt sleep for first two weeks ( i was getting around 4 hrs a night) and really bad mood swings for at least most of the treatment. Also felt as if I had to get up and do something or make list of things for the next day (that hasnt went away)I have really bad allergies so I had to get off of them for a week to tk a decongestant. When started taking again, side effects came back. Have also noticed I am very moody and quick to blow them out of porportion. I can only take it 3 mths so havent decided I want to finish treatment.
