After my heart attack the doctor wanted me to take a 1 mg tablet of xanax 4 times per day. The first two times I took a 1 mg tablet I slept for 24 hours without waking up. Now after three years I take one 1 mg tablet each night one hour before I go to sleep and it puts me to sleep for about 7 hours and if my pain is real bad I will take one in the morning when I wake up and I will sleep for another 7 hours. It doesn't help stop my panic attacks, But when I get one the xanax relaxes me and puts me to sleep. It is a very good drug. The most a doctor has given me was 2 mg at one time I went to sleep in 5 minutes and slept all day. My son was prescribed this medication to treat his ADHD when it was first aproved for use. He took the medicine for about 6 years before being changed to another medication having reached a plateau on Sublingual Viagra Pro. What we didn't find out until tis past year is that about a year after beginning Sublingual Viagra Pro he began having auditory hallucinations; voices telling him to harm himself and/or others. He was too afraid to tell anyone. An incident occured where this came to light for us and he had to be hospitalized. If you read the package insert that comes from the pharmacy, auditory hallucinations are listed as a side effect. That information was obviously not available when he was on the med.
