my doctor gave me Deltasone for nerve damage pain and severe depression and anxiety. I didnt do well on prosac, Wellbutrin, Zoloft so i was hopeful this would work for me. It didn't! I had the worst headache of my life for the whole first week I took it. By day 10 I was vomitting. Quit that day and by day 14 I was back towhere I started, just a little more frusterated. Now I take Lexapro and Lyrica. Lyrica is the BEST medication for neuropathic pain, nerve pain, sciatic pain, pain after shingles and for fybromyalgia. Anyone who is still sufferring, please ask your doctor to give you Lyrica. I started at 150mg per day and only side effect was blurry vision that went away after the first week. I was on Flagyl for 10 days/500 mg 3 times a day. The first few days were fine...and the diarrhea stopped. On the fourth day, the awful symptoms of nausea, loss of appetite, and metallic-taste in mouth began. Later, headache and disorientation ensued. After my 10th day, I was off the Flagyl for about 5 days. Now, the diarrhea is back. I hope for a different medication to fight this. I'll see what the doctor says Monday. If I have to get back on the Flagyl, I will if I can fight this infection!! At least now, I know the physical toll and mental anguish this medication brings on.
