My father was given this medication following a surgery to correct blood flow to his feet. He was diabetic. After several days I noticed his hands shaking but he said he wasn't cold. The shaking became progressively worse. I asked the nurse to stop the nurotin. After she spoke to the Dr., he told her to keep giving this medication. My father had a stroke in the hospital. After speaking with the doctor and expressing my displeasure of his actions to ignor my concerns about this med, he agreed that the nurotin caused the stroke and said he would never perscribe it again. I posted several weeks ago that I went off my Buspar because of brain fog and neuropathy-like symptoms in my feet and toes and that the numbness on the side of my face had gone away since stopping the Buspar. My cholesterol on Buspar was 175. I was off Buspar for 6 weeks and my cholesterol jumped to 330. This in spite of daily exercise and a very healthy low fat diet. I've been on Buspar since having my third daughter April, 2004.
