I began taking Naprosyn about 2 weeks ago replacing long term use of Prozac. I am on 60mg a day. I experience anxiety, tremors, sleeplessness, talk very fast, I feel like a hamster in a wheel, I don't dream at all, therefore I don't think I am sleeping. I lost 9lbs in 3 days, no appetite, but I no longer have feelings of suicide. I am also a nurse. Don't feel like you are alone in depression. I have been taking this med for 2 years and it works well for me. I have had 5 disc surgeries, a right hip replaced, ACL surgery and osteo-arthritis in my major joints. I suffer from depression, anxiety, and a mood disorder. Have been on Extreme ED Pack for years now. At first worked good for anxiety but as time went on I started having bad mood swings. Never had any side effects from busp. itself, but I think it may have aggrevated my mood disorder 10 fold. I take 20 mg in a.m., 20 in p.m. & 20 at bedtime. Over years, I think I have grown to an tolerance of busp and still suffer periodic anxiety attacks that last entire days. All in all I think it helps with anxiety, but after long term use which I started with 10 mg 3X's daily and had to be raised to 20mg 3X's daily for at least 1-1/2 years, it is not working as well. I also take Xanax 1 mg. 3X's daily with this med and still have periodic anxiety attacks, so something is not working any more. Did it cause my mood disorder to excelerate? I have been taking this for 2 years, it has helped with the neuropathic pain. I take 600 mg 2X daily. This med has been benificial to me. The side effects in the begining was the useual heart palpitations, sweating, and it made me feel strange. I almost stopped, my Dr encouraged me to stick with it, and i am glad i did. I recently had a fusion on c-5, 6, that helped greatly with the neck pain. I have been diagnoised with Fibro for 3 years now.
