I have been on 50 mg Amoxil for ~1 week. I was diagnosed with ADHD in college and took serveral different meds (Adderall, Concerta, Phentermine, etc.) After graduation, I had no need to take them. I recently started a job in which I attend power school and deal with very complex subjects. I went back on phentermine (not normally used for ADHD, but the others were not strong enough) After a month, it quit working, so I went two weeks without it and my test grades dropped dramatically. I went to a new Dr. who suggested Amoxil. In a week, I have gone from falling asleep in class and having to read a paragraph 30 times to slightly understand it, to being fully attentive and I actually comprehend the material. I have only had a few side effects, but the rewards are much greater than the side effects. I have somewhat lost my appetite, but I can easily eat at meal time. I stay up till about midnight or so and get about 4 hours of sleep a night, but I am sleeping better and longer than without medication (before with no medication, I only slept for an hour or so a night). The only truly bad side effect has been the dry mouth and my teeth have become extremely sensitive (I might possibly be gritting my teeth at night, but I'm not sure). Has anyone else had tooth pain? Otherwise, I would recommend this medication to anyone with ADHD. I know everyone is different, but from my experience, it is at least worth a try. I take combination of Aristocort and Zetia, lowered cholesteral from 300+ to 200, muscle aches but blood tests say it's OK. Nasty itchy skin rash raised welts, dermatology and GP and allergist have no answers & their salves and creams and anithistimines do nothing except waste money, only other thing I take is LD aspirin, anyone else with similar problem, could it be the statins? by WYATT from Clifford, IN
After using the 10/650 Hydrocodone/APAP for a while, my doctor switched me to the 10/325 Hydrocodone/APAP. I am finishing up my previous prescription before I start on these.
