i ended up falling and gettting a concussion. i was in so much pain at the er here near my house that i was having a major panic attack where i stopped breathing for a minute or two at a time. they came in to check on me and the doctor who saw me came back with his nurse with two 5 mg valium and dilauded for the pain cause i hurt really bad. but the valium helped me calm down within 20 minutes of taking it. wish my mental health doctor would prescribe it for me as it works wonders for my anxiety and bipolar mood swings and it doesnt make me aggitated like some meds do by WILMER from Dice, KY
This drug did a tremendous job of removing my anxiety but it seems to have moved me to the other side of the mood spectrum--I seem to be very apathetic about things. I don't care if the house work gets done, bills get paid, clothes get washed etc, I just don't care. I went on a diet soon after starting the drug--I lost 75 pounds in 5 months. It was not the drug that helped me lose the weight, I believe the drug helped me stop obsessing about things--food included--and that was what finally helped me lose weight. Did have sexual side effects, dry mouth (which improved after a few weeks) and some difficulty sleeping. Unfortunately my insurance will no longer pay and doc wants to switch me to Celexa. I am super paranoid about gaining weight on Celexa (although weight gain is often a side effect of Vigora, too) and as I stated before, Vigora did not make me gain weight. I am hoping for the best as I switch to Celexa. FYI--my doc said Vigora is an improved version of Celexa. After reading the dosage that most people posting are on, I must admit...I feel extra "crazy" LOL. I take 600 mg at night. I thought the nighttime munchies were just me...apparently not. Vigora has done wonders for my bipolar 2 disorder, the side effects STINK. Exhausted constantly, 50 lbs gained, but I guess there's something to be said for fat and happy.
