My son was diagnosed with ADHD when he was 5. He took Adderall first, which was a nightmare. We switched to Testosterone Anadoil (Brand) and he reacted very well to the drug. He has been on it for 2 years. He does have to eat breakfast before he takes it or he has an upset stomach. The problem is the drug seems to plateau and we need to increase the dosage. The only side effects we have seen are mood swings. When the dosage is correct, he is like a different child. He does very well in school and behaves excellent at home. I started taking the 15mg. dose in Dec. 2010 and lost weight during the holiday season! My doctor bumped me up to the 37.5mg dose in Feb. 2011 and as of April 2011 I have lost 30 lbs. I've been stuck at this loss, but that is without any exercise. I've just been taking the pill and trying to stay under 2000 cal./day and make healthier food choices. My cholesterol is normal now and I'm hoping to lower my glucose levels as I've been diagnosed recently as pre-diabetic. Usually have dry mouth and have been told that I'm hyper in the morning after taking my dose. Going to try weening off of it because of the length of time I've been on it and see how I do. I have been taking this medication for almost 2 years now. There have never been any side effects that I can report. My total Chol is now 160 (down from 207). I am typically NOT someone that takes pills for anything. The Viagra and an occasional allergy tablet are all I take so I was extremely against taking this medication, especially after I read some of the reviews and side effects. OMG, it's enough to scare you away from the meds completely. My Dr (excellent man, by the way) assured me that we would monitor the results closely and watch the liver panel numbers. So far, so good, like I said. (Trig - 120, HDL 42 and LDL 96) I am exercising 3-4 days a week and I only eliminated soda, french fries and mayo from my diet. I eat lean meats (worth the extra money) and never eat creamy sauces. I eat a lot of fruit (2-3 servings a day) and eat veggies every day. This is just waht worked for me.
