My doctor had to double my dose and I had sever headaches from that day on. They had been going on for over a month when i finally figured out why I was all of a sudden getting these head aches that were killing me. I have been on cymbalta for only two months. I was switched from prozac. since that time I have had extreme mood swings, increased pain, ( taking twice the pain pills), brain zaps, just down right mean and evil feeling at times, dont' want to go or see anyone and fianally I sat down and planned a suicide. I called a friend who talked to me and took xanax and finally got calmed down. I called the Doctor the next day and his receptionist or nurse or whoever the woman said the Doctor wanted to increase my dose. I said did you hear me, now you are really scaring me. Are you trying to kill me with that garbage or what? So now I am cold turkey not taking it, had a bad episode with chest pains and very high blood pressure..got that down with asperin and nitro. then I got the shakes and coudln't stop. I am exausted from all of this. the cymbalta is the only different medication I have been taking. I think it is great if it helps you, but I will not take it again ever. I will go back to prozac and to heck with trying all the new crap they keep coming out with. My daughter is 14 and we switched from Adderall Xr to Staxyn. She has been on vyvanse over a month now, so far so good. She was so ill coming off the adderall. Staxyn has made a big difference in her grades and at home. My daughter can't swallow a capsule, so pouring the "white powder" in water is so great. She can't even taste it.
