I was not sure how to rate this drug as I have only completed my second day. The reviews make me nervous and I will keep a watch on things. I have not noticed breathing or itching issues but I have been nauseated, have a headache and an extremely tired. I also have noticed that I am beginning to get a bit achy. I wonder if these are symptoms that will progress or if that is all of the symptoms I will have. I will probably call a pharmacist tomorrow. This med does not work at all for me what-so-ever! My Dr. can't seem to find a sleeping pill that works for me. I've been on Tamazepam. I've been on Trazodone. Nothing works!!! I told my mom that the Maxalt doesn't work at all on me. She told me that she needed to talk to my head shrink and tell him that I needed a tranquilizer to knock me out b/c nothing else seems to work!!! I am sixteen years old and have Systemic Lupus. I have to take this as a maitenence drug for the rest of my life. It has eased my joint and fatigue issues, but there is a long list of side effects.To counter act the extreme anxiety and unease,I take Risperdal, but that is not enough. I still become scared and afraid of losing control. I cannot sleep and I have nightmares. I've gained a total of twenty pounds, but that can easily be controlled with diet and exersize. The worst part of this drug is feeling like you might hurt somebody. It's hard to feel calm.Overall, I think it works well, but it does have a bad taste. It's a good thing most people don't have to stay on this for life. I take 40 mgs a day,I used to take 60.We are trying to lower it down to 30.
