I am a 63 year old female who was prescribed a 14 day dose of 750 mg levaquin. It knocked out my bronchitis but after 10 doses, I had to stop taking it. I developed severe pain in in both knees, shoulders, wrists and the joints of both thumbs. It's been 6 weeks since I've had this pain and it is not getting any better. I'm trying to get a referral from my family doctor to a rheumatologist. I have not been able to exercise because it just makes the pain worse and I have a lot of trouble rising from a seated position because of the pain in my knees. I was taking Norco, but I didn't want to become dependant on anything so I asked my doctor for something else. So, he prescribed Tramadol. I have been taking Tramadol for three months now. (I have had migraines since I had my baby in November.) It really helps with my head, but I stopped taking it abruptly and had major withdrawels. I had the shakes, anxiety attacks, diarrhea, severe weakness, thoughts of suicide and sweat uncontrolably. I spoke with my neurologist this morning and he is going to help me wean off of it. Have been taking this for migraine pain. Does not take the pain away but helps lessen it. Usually take 2 in the morning and if severe headache I'll take 2 more later in the day. Taken as Tramacet and can do 2 every 6 hours if needed. I try to not take every day as I do feel it is habit forming to some extent. Makes me feel less stressed. I now am on a SSRI also, Cipralex 10 mg for 6 months going to 15 mg per day now then going to 20 in two weeks. Am taking together with no issues so far. by LESLEY from Thida, AR
