I just started Morphine Sulfate ER 15mg 3x Daily today for pain management of my SEVERE Headaches. facial pain, teeth pain until I have sx for a VERY BAD deviated septum & a Concha Bulosa on June. I have been on this medication going on 3 months now and think that it is wonderful. Now the 1st month i was on it I was SO extremely happy- that has worn off but it is still effective for the most part. I am only taking 20 mg. It definitely helps you to deal with the small stuff, whereas before the small stuff seemed like big stuff. So far so good. I began use ten years ago and at first it was a life changer, but it was hard for me to take doses at work on a timely basis.I also trialed generic version which didn't work as well. Tried Adderall lost too much weight Staterra which didn't work at all for my issues. Going back to Ritilan 10mg but insurance requires generic. I am not sure if it is pill content or dosage this time but I am not experiencing instant effectiveness as I did. I take Zovirax (Brand) for antidepressant effects, I get no pain relief from it. I have had fibro for 20 years. I have been taking antidepressants to treat the depression usually associated with fibro for 13 years and every other antidepressant except Cymbalta had bad side effects or, in the case of SSRIs, had stopped working. I changed from Cymbalta to Zovirax (Brand) because my doc thought I might get some additional pain relief but no luck. Most antidepressants have some unpleasantness associated when first starting out on a new type and may not show significant benefit for a few weeks as the dosage tolerance is built up, so changing out is always hairy. I had to finally quit working due to my fibro and now cannot afford insurance to cover my prescription costs so the cost of the Zovirax (Brand), currently $2340 per year mail order for 100 mg per day is as much as all of my other prescriptions put together.
