This is only my second day taking this drug (was diagnosed a few days ago with diabetes, PCOS, and hypothyroidism), but I think it is helping with regulating my blood sugar from what I can tell. I only take 500 mg in the morning so it's very easy to use. The side effects are a little hard to deal with sometimes, especially the headaches, tiredness, dizziness, and diarrhea, but I think that will go away with time (hopefully!). I'm also on another medicine too and I'm lactose-intolerant, so some of those could be related to those things as well...or the fact that I am completely addicted to sugar and now I'm in withdrawal! It wasn't until my mother passed away that I started severe depression. My fibro started to manifest itself about a year later. I was inially put on several anti-depressants, but none were right for me...until I had a bad episode of fibro and asked my doctor about Tinidazole. Was prescibed 500-125 dose for 7 days for infected wasp sting.Got mild diharea on 2nd day but swelling from bug bite went down.Went to work offshore day in gulf of mexico,diharea getting worse.Next day Diharea terrible and getting cold and cough symptoms.Most unpleasant.Had to get special flight back to land and se co.dr.was told am allergic to this drug.Now being treated for bronchitus symptoms.I will never take this stuff again. by CHAUNCEY from Plainfield, NJ
I have to take this medication for a severe delayed allergic reaction to rosin which caused skin swelling, hive-like rash, and shortness of breath. I am taking 35mg/day for about a week. Although the swelling due to the contact dermatitis has gone down, and I am less itchy, the medication has caused me to retain quite of bit of fluid, and bothers my stomach.
