I have been a migraine patient for 13 years, and have been on literally EVERY medication available. I've been hospitalized with paralyzing pain for up to 6 days at a time with no relief. Many doctors have tried to give me the whole, benadryl, toradol, compazine, which then is closely followed by atavan. By far, the BEST thing to ever happen is 15mg of phennargen, 2mg of dilaudid, followed by two single doses. Overall,I must say this medication has changed my life. I felt a wonderful clarity of thought that I have never experienced in my adult life. It seemed to "lift the fog" in my brain. I was concerned in the beginning regarding a change of personality but my doctor assured me that I would still be "me", just a better "me". I now am able to easily access a portion of my brain that allows thoughts to flow smoothly rather than struggle to articulate just about any complete coherent thought in a normal conversation. My job performance has improved beyond my wildest expectation. I do have a question. While I have not had any negative side affects when taking vyvanse (30mg). I was taking Lisinopril for about 5 years and had a horrible dry cough. My doctor took me off that and prescribed Losartan. After recovering from the shock of the price for this med, I realized my dry cough was diminishing after a week. I sleep better because I'm not waking up during the night coughing. This medication has caused me to have numerous extremely severe side effects, such as, increased agitation, hostility, aggression, counting over n over again n my head, inability to urinate, etc. I talked to my psychiatrist and he said it was my Adderall and i tried and tried to tell him that it did NOT start until he put me on the Effexor XR 150 mg cap once daily, instead of the 75mg caps bid.
