I am a 26 year old Female, and I was put on Luvox in early 2009 for Migraine prevention. I was taking on average 12-16 Advil per day in order to prevent headaches, so my neurologist put me on Luvox. I started out with taking 75mg a day, but I was still getting headaches. The dr increased the medicine 25mg each time, and I am currently on 250mg a day and that works great for me. At the beginning and with each increase, I saw the side effects--Carbonated beverages tasted flat for about a month or two (but that does go away-this was only at the beginning), tingling in hands and feet-this happened with each increase and got really bad when I got cold, and then memory loss. The memory loss seemed to increase with every dosage increase as well, but if you give it some time (and if the people around you are patient with you!) it actually gets better. I have seen some weight loss, but I'm not complaining! I actually can maintain my weight and eat what I want. My migraines have decreased dramatically, and I don't have them but maybe once every couple of months.
