I was prescribed this med to help me sleep & it also helps with depression. It helped me sleep, but I felt hungover in the morning. Couldn't tell that it helped with the depression since I'm also on Cymbalta, but the weight gain is a severe con to taking this med, 10 lbs in two weeks. Also, it caused me to have horrible "brain shocks", imagine being inside a huge bell & someone hitting it with a sledge hammer. I feel every noise I hear, and it vibrates down from my brain throughout my entire body. It's horrific! I am posting this mainly to say that as someone who is extremely sensitive to drugs and their side effects, I found this to be easy to adjust to and not very bothersome overall. I felt a little buzzed and had some digestive issues, but that was it. I took this drug for a total of 2.5 months, increasing gradually from 5-15 mg. With each new dose, I felt a wave of relief followed by a decrease in the effectiveness. By the time I reached 15 mg., I began to feel numb instead of relieved.
