I knew better to get on this drug, but I felt my psychiatrist knew what she was doing, I trusted her and agreed. She was hoping it would help my flatness. I felt somewhat better, but my speech became very strange/difficult to understand. My face made movements I didn't try to make, around my mouth. When I went off almost exactly a year ago with my psychiatrists' agreement I lost an entire week. I know only what others have told me - seems I split my time in sleep or the restroom (different issue, I think, realized later what that issue was, and that it was probably confusing me a lot). Not sure if I ate much of anything, but apparently I managed to call in for anything I was supposed to do that week, and that my coworkers thought there was something odd about what I said when I called in on my work shift - I didn't find out what. The first day I could remember I was very confused, and my mother happened to call. I asked why it was so dark out in the afternoon, having trouble realizing it was ~8pm when I thought it was ~3pm. My dad came and picked me up to stay with my parents a few days until I wasn't all confused. They said I could hardly get my mouth to cooperate to eat anything. I was still having a lot of difficulty trying to speak, but that wore away some - I'm better, more understandable than then, but still have difficulty speaking and being understood. This drug was horrific for me . The doctor prescribed me 20mg a day for depression. I took one the Thursday morning and felt really ill but thought I would stick with it and took another Friday morning come Friday night I was a complete mess has really bad shivers, sickness, muscle aches but worse of all I was halluciating was rushed to hospital and given antisickness tablets as thats all they could do for me, this carried on all saturday and sunday with me not really knowing where I was. Went to the doctor today feeling really sick,shaking,pins and needles down my arm and I feel really dizzy he wanted to drop me down to 10mg. You must be joking I will never touch these again I could deal with the sickness ect, but hallucinating and really vivid dreams no way. I have OA, RA and fibromyalgia and this drug has been a life saver for me. Took away my pain and got me off the couch, I have lost 25 lbs since I started using this drug and I am almost back to my ideal weight. I gained 40+ lbs when I was first diagnosed with RA. Doesn't take the pain away completely, but it takes enough of the edge off that I can actually get up and move and live my life.
