Absolutely the worse drug to try to come off ever! I had taken Cymbalta for 5+ years for intractable chronic pain, but the side effects kept getting more and more severe. If you are male the drug causes as much of a drop in testosterone as amputating your testicles - and this was told to me 3 years into treatment by my doctor. He then showed me all the other meds I would need to counteract the side effects of Cymbalta - testosterone being the least concerning. The Cymbalta cooked my thyroid so now I am on synthroid. Because I have low energy on Cymbalta I was told I would need to take anti-depressants to boost mood and energy. This drug starts benign and gets worse and worse. My wife and kids said I was becoming withdrawn and silent, unemotional. I have bee on this twice now. A year ago prior to surgery. No issues. And after Surgery again on my wrist this year. Black stool ... when it happens i.e. I have severe constipation.
