I have been on this medication for a month now and I have lost 7 pounds it's not a huge loss but it's better then nothing! I am also watching what I eat and I am running/Jogging every day, and drink three times amount of water! I take the pill right after I eat Breakfast, I haven't had any side affects really except that I feel full and satisified after I eat which I have cut my intake alot. I have a while to go before I get to my ideal weight but I am very happy where this is going. It's been a long road having a baby and then gaining weight during that and then trying to loose it! After several ups in dosages, I finally thought I found the perfect med..for the first year or so.. And then the weight gain... almost 50 pounds in 5 years, and then God help me the 1st time my Rx lapsed. The brain zaps, the anger outbursts, numbness and paranoia, a feeling of being out of body..etc. etc. I would not recommend anyone who does not want this med permanently. I can not find a dr. or psychiatrist who will wean me off, switch me to a new drug, or take me off of this insane, expensive drug. And now, it's not even as effective, but I can't quit on my own b/c the side effects are SO DEBILITATING! I take 100mg at bed and I am passed out within 30 minuted which is great because sleep is a huge problem with me. Trazodone knocks me out cold.
