My doctor prescribed the 6-day pak with tapering dosage along with Augmentin for a stubborn sinus infection. The medication seems to be helping, but this is day four (three pills today) and I'm experiencing increased problems with exciteability, mild anxiety, aching in trapezious muscles and base of the neck, a little trouble with concentration, and a sense of increased heart rate. The first day (six tabs that day) I had trouble with insomnia. To help with that problem: about one hour before bedtime, I have a cup of Camomile tea with Valerian--two tea bags to a rather large mug--and that helped me a great deal. I am avoiding caffeine and alcohol while on these meds. To avoid stomach upset, DO take these meds with food or milk--something with protein is best.
