This Was stoped by a doctor about 18mo ago, he didnt ween me off of it just stopped it. for about 6 mo I was very sick, heart rate 244 problems breathing, the room spinning all the time, every doctor I saw couldnt find anything wrong with me, just said it was in my head, one trip to the hospital, I was ready to be sent home for the 19th time, and my husband asked the doctor could this be anything to do with the Caverta I use to be on, we explaned how long I was on it about 3 years, told her about the other dr she turned white,left the room came back and put me back on xanax and told us I should have been weaned off of the med. Ohkay I love and hate ambien.With this drug I fall asleep within an hour and a half of taking it and stay asleep.It is honestly the most effective sleeping pill I've ever taken. Now the drawbacks- like many others I have a "blackout" period. For about thirty minutes before actually falling asleep I do random things that I have no memory of doing. Ive had sex with my boyfriend, eaten things , danced, had nonsensical conversations ( talking about why there are so many monkeys on the tables here at the zoo) and went on odd shopping sprees. The first 5 or 6 times I took it I had interesting hallucinations. I didnt necessarily see things that werent there . I did however see objects doing things ie a windex bottle dancing and the walls were melting. I'm 16 now and i take 40 mg of Vyvanse everyday, but i started out on Caverta. My 7yr-old daughter was prescribed these tablets. She has slight inflamation in nose and throat, but severe in the ears. It helps that condition,but now she seems agitated, depressed and prone to lashing out. She also has a sore under her nose now.
