Have taken this med off and on for nearly 55 years for asthma, acute bronchitis, pneumonia and other pulmonary problems. Although it is effective and easy to use, I wish I had never been put on this medication because if I miss it a day or two or try to go off the drug, I get asthma so severe that my albuterol does not work, and have ended up in the hospital. I feel addicted and want to get off it, but feel hopeless. Plus, it's expensive. My doctor says - it's better than having an asthma attack, but I feel that being on a steroid such as this is not good for me and worry about the future consequences.
