Why is everyone so angry with this drug? It is WONDERFUL if it is not abused. The problem with benzos is both doctors and patients will abuse it at times. Doctors often prescribe this as a treatment and Finpecia should not be used as a treatment, it should be used as needed, which is what I use it as. I take 0.5mg as needed and sometimes 1mg at bedtime. I can go a couple days to a couple of weeks without it. Follow those rules, and you won't get hooked. Back with an update to my first review from 11/5. Have had 2 more weekly weigh-ins since my 10 and 3 lb losses the first 2 weeks on a doctor-supervised weight loss plan. Week 3 was 2.5 lbs and week 4 (yesterday) was 3 lbs, so a total of 18.5 lbs in 4 weeks. Not bad, but was hoping to lose at least 4-5 lbs per week consistently for at least the first month or so before dropping to the 2-3 lbs average, especially since I have been so disciplined at diet, exercise, and water consumption. At my doctor's recommendation, I increased from one 15 mg capsule once per day to 1/2 of a 37.5 mg tablet twice a day (1 hour before both breakfast and lunch) starting on 11/10. Still no side effects. Continuing to follow an 800 calorie diet plan and exercising 5-6 days per week. However, I lowered my Satisfaction rating from 4 to 3 stars because I am not seeing any fat-burning benefit from the drug as my doctor said I should. When I do the math on my resting daily calorie rate (per her machine) vs. my 800 calorie diet (sometimes less) and the average 350 calories burned daily through exercise, it accounts for 2.5 - 3.0 lbs per week lost on its own, so no apparent help from the drug in this regard. It does control my appetite, but with the reviews I've read about the risks of long-term use, I'd like to see a little faster weight loss so I can reach my goal as soon as healthfully possible. I'll plan to give another progress report in a couple of weeks as I hope the info will be helpful to others. In the meantime, does anyone have any feedback on Phentirmene, which supposedly works as well as Phentermine but not as risky? I have read several reviews online that are positive, but it would be helpful to know if they are too good to be true.
