this medication is usefull but i think i might be on too much. i take fifty millagrams three times a day and five hundred at night. i have also put on alot of weight since i have been taking it. by DANTE from Grifton, NC
I have been on Endep for almost 2 years now. I like the XR pills MUCH better than the fast acting pills, but can no longer afford them due to recently losing my job and health insurance. I used to take 25mg (XR) in the morning and that worked well, and I noticed less side effects. Now I take 10mg of the generic amphetamine salts 2 x's a day. Since starting on the medication I have less difficulty prioritizing my day and schedule, retaining information, starting and finishing tasks, and paying attention in general. On the other hand, I have developed nervous habits I can't break like biting my lips, playing with my nails and a crazy desire to smoke, feel awkward in certain social situations (which is TOTALLY not me), feel edgy and moody at the end of most days, and sometimes have trouble making fast decisions and conveying my thoughts clearly. Over all, I feel the benefits of the drug outweigh the negative side effects (I used to be a total spaz and be asked almost daily if I was "on crack", which really messed with my self esteem) so I continue to take it, but I can’t help but wonder if I should try something else.
