This is a horrible drug. I've taken it for almost 6 mos. and feel like I'm dying everyday. My stomach hurts more than it did, have bloating, gas, trouble breathing, nightmares, pain all over my body and chest congestion. I stopped taking it last week after looking up the side effects. Didn't reduce pain or inflammation much, stopped taking after 3 weeks because it caused swelling in hands and feet, water retention (gained almost 10 pounds in water in 3 weeks, lost all of it within a week of stopping), dizziness, confusion, loss of balance, and high blood pressure (normal for me is 105/70 -- increased to 145/90!). Just wanted to provide another less scary review for those people whom are looking to our reviews to help them decide if this might help them. This is my fourth week, I take 4-2.5mg tabs 1xwkly w/folic acid and prednisone. It has really improved my quality of life and I haven't experienced hair loss or any of the other scary side effects. I felted much better after one does. I made the mistake of taking the drug before bedtime though. A real no-no! I woke up after 1 1/2 hours of sleep, and was up the rest of the night. Waited a full day and half and took my next dose in the morning and have not had any other problems with the drug. I have RA and take a lot of different medications.
