I had rupturing cysts on my ovaries and this drug worked wonders for the pain. Then it started making me constipated which cause my cysts to rupture more frequently, so I stopped taking it and only take it when I really have to. I can't stand this stuff. I am not prone to migraines other than ocular migraines (and it has been several years since I had one of those), and I have had 4 headache migraines (extreme headache pain, nausea, sensitivity to light) in the short week I have been taking this crap. And it did absolutely nothing for the pain I was taking it for. Maybe it works for some people, but I sure am not one of them. My dr. won't give me anything stronger than darvocet, but at least it works fairly well for a couple hours and doesn't give me any side effects, so I am going back to that. I have a bitter metalic taste way in the back of my throat and it seems like it's closing up on me at times. Food tastes funny to me. I think I want off of this medicine. I feel like my throats closing shut. I'm always nauseated. It has to be coming from this medicine. I have a dr apt this friday. I'm going to discuss this with my dr. I have been taking Alesse for a little over 2 months now. When I first started taking it, it was horrible! I started it at 25 mg. The side effects were tough. I had an increase in anxiety, sweaty palms, naseua, headaches, and muslce tension in my back and neck. The first week, I felt constantly nervous. I would wake up early in the morning feeling horribly nervous. This subsided, then the second week I felt on edge. Like, just on the verge of having a panic attack and I actually had a few.
