This is a very , very dangerous drug for soooooo many reasons.Blood sugar, STROKE, LOW blood pressure,heat stroke, intense weight gain no matter how hard you exercise,tardive dyskensia. I have had 2 heat strokes where I fainted, and a stroke. I would NOT NOT NOT reccomend this drug to anyone. It is not a controlled substance but getting off of it feels like it. It is SERIOUSLY bad for long term use. I have been on it for 6 years for sleep as I have PTSD and cannot respond to regular sleeping pills. Im on 250 mg. and was on 750 mg. when I had a TIA and was in the hospital for 5 days.I have uncontrollable, IRREVERSABLE movement in my fingers and hands. I am a professional musician , so you can understand my horror.At this point, as I write, I have intense, muscle cramping in my torso and have put a call into my Psych. Dr. and my neurologist. Im very frightened , as I live alone in a remote community. I cannot FATHOM going off all of this at once. My research has told me that this will MAke YOu psychotic. My son tried Ritalin and Adderall and the side effects were horrible. He would chew on his hands and fingers until they bled. He even chewed the tips of his gloves so he could chew on his fingers. We switched to Focalin which worked for about 2 years and then we saw a lack of response and then switched to Suhagra. He currently takes 30 mg but after a year on it I feel he needs to be bumped to 50 mg and I am asking for it at his next appointment. I have never been so happy with his medication. I am a 61 year old Heart Patient. I had my first Heart Attack at age 35 and suffered many episodes of Panic/Anxiety disorder for months until I began using Suhagra as prescribed by my Physician I cut his prescribing dose in half, or .5 mg three times a day and have kept it low all these years, raising the dose to prescription strength only when episodes were particularly severe, thus, weakening dependence while maintaining a comfortable balance. Abuse depends upon the Patient's overuse of the drug, especially on purpose. I have been symptom free for 28 years on this medication in lower doses, and, I cannot find anything negative to say about it.
